Newport Railway Museum is an entirely volunteer-operated not-for-profit organisation. Every weekend we open our museum to the public and present an impressive collection of locomotives and other rail infrastructure spanning over 150 years of Victoria's railway history. While our museum celebrates railway history, our volunteers fulfill a wide range of roles, from customer service and ticket sales through to tasks such as volunteer guides, gardeners and cleaners, office and administration work through to painting, carpentry and other restoration work. We have a very friendly team environment, we are located in a very convenient location well-served by road and public transport connections, and can offer a range of interesting opportunities to suit volunteers from a range of different backgrounds.
