Austin Health acknowledges the Traditional Custodians of the land upon which our various campuses are located, and pays its respects to Elders, past and present. Austin Health has been committed to improving the lives of our patients since it was founded by philanthropist Elizabeth Austin, as a ‘hospital for the incurables’, in 1882. Today our organisation comprises of Austin Hospital, the Heidelberg Repatriation Hospital, the Royal Talbot Rehabilitation Centre and the Olivia Newton-John Cancer and Wellness Centre. We are renowned for our specialist work in cancer, transplantation, infectious diseases, obesity, sleep medicine, intensive care medicine, neurology, endocrinology, mental health and rehabilitation.
