Ginninderra Catchment Group

Ginninderra Catchment Group (GCG) is a community-based natural resource management organisation and a Landcare network, operating primarily in the north-west ACT region along the Ginninderra Creek water catchment. Our mission is to connect, support and lead local communities to improve the health of Ginninderra Creek and its surrounds We support over 30 volunteer landcaring groups, including ParkCare, urban, rural, and Aboriginal volunteer groups, and we coordinate community engagement and landscape-scale restoration projects. GCG provides a network for our groups and volunteers, linking the catchment community with the ACT Government and other stakeholders, providing assistance with project development and implementation, and facilitating community forums. We also facilitate citizen science environmental monitoring programs: Waterwatch and FrogWatch. Through these ACT-region wide programs, volunteers contribute to research on waterway health.
