Ability Agriculture Foundation Ltd

Ability Agriculture Foundation Ltd is a start up NFP with a mission to enable awareness & opportunity for people with disability in agriculture. https://www.abc.net.au/news/rural/programs/landline/2022-11-27/ability-agriculture:-farming-with-a-disability/101702410 Ability Agriculture was founded by Josie Clarke whose family are a from a beef cattle enterprise on the mid north coast of NSW. Josie's father had an accident which resulted in him becoming a parplegic. Whilst learning to create on farm accessibility, and face challenges to stay in agriculture; Josie realised the little support, resources in the agricultural industry to help families and individuals to be able to succeed, enter or thrive in the agricultural industry. Ability Agriculture shares the challenges, adaptations, supports and success of people with disability in agriculture to show that agriculture is an industry for anyone to consider. Ability Agriculture started its first access scholarship in 2023 aimed at supporting people with disability to attend, learn and take part of agricultural conferences. Ability Agriculture would like to build it's capacity to deliver community programs to support isolated individuals and families with disability in agriculture, provide leadership and business development and increase resources for agribusinesses to work together to increase inclusion & accessibility in agriculture. abilityagriculture.com
