The Volunteer Tutor Scheme is a program that helps migrants and refugees who are unable to attend AMEP English classes, with one-on-one English lessons for 1 hour per week. Anyone can become a volunteer tutor, even if you’re not a native English speaker. All you need is confidence in English, access to transport and the desire to help others learn. You will be helping people to access basic services and connect with the community, thereby having a huge impact on their ability to settle in Australia. 15 hours of free training provided by a qualified ESL teacher.
