Wesley Mission Queensland is an innovative and responsive not-for-profit community service provider that works alongside families, children, couples and seniors to help build stronger and more inclusive communities. We are currently hosting an Aged Care Volunteer Visitors Program where you can be matched up with older people being supported living in residential aged care communities or in their own homes in the Brisbane and Caboolture regions. The Aged Care Volunteer Visitors Program is about building companionship and friendship for older people who may be socially isolated or lonely. Having someone willing to visit for an hour weekly or fortnightly to talk about gardening or football or any general interest, read the paper or a book, play a game, or watch your favourite TV show together goes a huge way towards helping a person who is socially isolated feel cared about. Your support as an Aged Care Volunteer Visitor will change lives and, in the process, change your life. You will make friends and build valuable relationships.
