Youth Housing Project Association Inc. (YHP) provides supported, unsupervised, transitional accommodation to young people aged from 16- 21 years old who are homeless or at-risk of homelessness. Single young people, siblings/family related, couples, pregnant young people and young people with dependents are able to apply for housing. Parenting partners up to 25 years of age are also housed on acceptance of a case plan. Youth Housing Project Assoc Inc has been providing supported accommodation to young people who are homeless or at-risk of homelessness for over 35 years, having first being established in 1987. Young people are able to be housed with and supported by YHP for approximately 12 months in their CAP program. YHP also provides Community Housing and young people can transition through the programs and stay with YHP for 2-3 years – providing stability in housing for young people, as well as stability in their relationships with YHP workers.
