Melbourne Street Choir Inc

Melbourne Street Choir Inc is an ACNC registered charity with DGR status, established to manage the Choir of Hard Knocks program. Founded in 2006 by Jonathon Welch AM, the multi-award winning Choir of Hard Knocks is made up of people from all walks of life. Whilst many of our members have experienced disadvantage/difficulty in their lives, be it socially / emotionally / medically / financially there is no set requirement or criteria to be a part of this wonderful group. We are a Choir for anyone who feels it is the right space and the safest place for them to come and explore their voice. The Choir rehearses weekly in the city on Monday mornings followed by a delicious lunch prepared by our choir angels allowing the members to come together to socialise, encouraging friendships and building relationships.
