Bosom Buddies ACT

Bosom Buddies is an independent charity and is the only organisation in the Canberra region dedicated solely to providing personalised on the ground support services to help individuals in the community affected by breast cancer. We are a volunteer-driven organisation and are seeking passionate people to help behind the scenes, fundraise, coordinate or join our support team who provide 1:1 support to breast cancer patients. Unlike many of our cancer counterparts, Bosom Buddies relies solely on donations and does not receive funding from local, federal governments or larger national breast cancer organisations. Our Mission: - To provide one-on-one personalised and ongoing support to people diagnosed with breast cancer and their loved ones, - To promote the importance of self-empowerment through regular breast examinations, - Gift patient-aids to breast cancer patients, and - To provide links to resources and services available in the region.
