Dhil'um-bar Kangaroo Carers Association Inc

Dhil’um-bar Sanctuary is a dedicated macropod (kangaroo and wallaby) rehabilitation and treatment facility in the Sunshine Coast hinterland, 10klms from Maleny. We take on orphaned and injured macropods, provide treatment and rehabilitation with the view to releasing back into the wild. We receive orphaned joeys after Mum has been killed by motor vehicle collision as well as many other juvenile and adult macropods who've sustained injury from dog attacks, motor vehicles, or anything else that occurs. Many of our patients require intensive care due to the severity of their injuries. Our volunteers need to be reasonably fit as there is manual work involved - cleaning, feeding etc. which also involves a fair amount of bending. We are looking for volunteers who can commit to 1 day per week for a shift starting at 6.00am until approx. 1.00pm Monday to Friday only.
