Hearts4heart is a dedicated non-profit organisation, supporting, educating, and advocating for individuals living with heart disease. Our mission is to eliminate preventable strokes, deaths, and suffering for those affected by heart conditions. What we believe: Support We believe that peer support is essential for coping through the hard times and to live your best life during the good times. At hearts4heart, we provide over the phone support and connect patients through our monthly Heart Buddy meetings and through our social media community. At our meetings we invite guest speakers that include cardiologists, cardiac nurses, cardiac technicians, dieticians and more. Education We believe that it is essential for heart patients and the public receive evidence-based education that supports early diagnoses, treatment to therapies and self-management. Through our awareness campaigns we hope people recognise symptoms early to reduce preventable strokes and deaths. Advocacy We believe that patients should have timely access to treatment no matter where you are, when you need it. Our role is to advocate in health care for patients, survivors and caregivers so that people are diagnosed early and have timely access to therapies.
