The University of Wollongong is located about 1 hour south of Sydney in NSW. The university has an active research community that undertakes both biomedical research and conservation/environmental research. The Animal Ethics committee is responsible for the ethical oversight of all research and teaching projects that involve live vertebrate animals, including fish, cephalopods and decapod crustaceans.
