The Carina Cobras Basketball Club was formed in 1982. The club fields teams in all age groups - from under 8s mixed teams through to Youth Girls & Boys (under 21).
It is a non-profit club, run solely by volunteers, dedicated to the development and increased participation in basketball for children and young adults.
Carina Cobras players always feature heavily in Basketball Queensland (BQ) junior representative teams and we have seen many of our juniors go on to play senior representative basketball at both regional (NBL1) and state level. Cobras has also had several members go on to successful basketball careers in the National Basketball League, college basketball in USA & the 2021 Olympic team.
