Our Vision Iona strives to be the accessible and aspirational Catholic school for families, forming men who are authentic, grounded, respectful and connected to a community that, like Jesus, serves and inspires others. Our Mission Through God’s gift of the Oblate charism, Iona College will continue to invest in our community to form young men who are inspired to grow into their potential to live, learn, lead, and serve. Our College Established in 1957, Iona College is a Catholic school conducted by the Missionary Oblates of Mary Immaculate for boys in Years 5-12. As a Catholic school in the Oblate religious tradition, Iona College focuses on educating and empowering young men to dare to make a positive, spiritual and practical difference throughout their lives and the lives of others. By learning how to serve their community, Iona students learn how to become better men. It is at the heart of the Oblate mission, and what it means to be an Ionian. Following the example of our patron Saint Eugene de Mazenod, who founded the Oblates to serve those most in need, Iona is committed to being accessible to all members of our community. Our fees are traditionally and consistently among the lowest for independent schools in Queensland.
