The Amaroo Neighbourhood Centre Inc. opened as an op-shop in 1980 arising from a need in the west ward of Waverley, providing a range of goods and services that the residents could afford. The ANC now provides a range of community support services, holds a selection of classes and expanding and is home to one of Melbourne's best Op Shops. ANC was incorporated in June 1986.
