Pets In The Park - Frankston
Pets in the Park (PITP) is a national charity (and Public Benevolent Institution) that provides free veterinary care to the pets of people experiencing homelessness via a community of monthly pop-up veterinary clinics operated by a team of volunteers at 11 locations including Frankston (held at St Paul's Anglican Church). By offering essential services of veterinary consultations, parasite control, vaccinations, and microchipping, PITP safeguards pet health while alleviating public health pressures. Our program addresses the emotional support and companionship that pets offer, which helps reduce isolation and boosts mental health for vulnerable individuals. By facilitating access to free veterinary services, PITP also eases the financial burden on homeless pet owners.
