The Victoria State Emergency Service (VICSES) is a volunteer-based emergency service that operates 24/7 across Victoria, helping communities prepare for, respond to and recover from emergencies. Our core work includes responding to floods, storms, road-crash rescues, searches for missing persons and other rescue operations, while also supporting police, fire and ambulance services during major incidents. Beyond response, VICSES leads municipal emergency management planning and delivers community education on disaster preparedness. Powered by trained volunteers, we combine local knowledge with statewide coordination to keep Victorians safe.
