Upper Plenty Merri Catchments Landcare Group

We are a Landcare group located in Upper Plenty Victoria, between the towns of Wallan and Whittlesea. We encourage landowners and Land managers to incorporate and manage the natural environment by controlling weeds and pests, planting native trees and encouraging the native animals that live or used to live here. We. work on private and public lands to make our area a better place to live. We run activities making and installing next boxes, tree planting days, Waterwatch activities wildlife monitoring and much more, working with neighbouring environmental groups and our local shire on a volunteer basis. We are farmers, landowners, retirees, students and professionals working together with the community, government and public land managers for positive change.
