The Braidwood & District Heavy Horse Association (BDHHA) is a community-driven, not-for-profit organisation dedicated to preserving and promoting the heritage, strength, and versatility of heavy horses. Based in Braidwood, NSW, the Association brings together breeders, exhibitors, and enthusiasts to celebrate these iconic animals through events, education, and community engagement.
At the heart of its activities is the annual Braidwood & District Heavy Horse Show, a growing regional event that showcases Led, Ridden, Harness, and Working classes while connecting the wider community with the history and ongoing role of heavy horses in Australia’s rural landscape.
