At Pouchie.z Kangaroo Sanctuary & Wildlife Rescue, our mission is to rescue, rehabilitate, and provide lifelong sanctuary for injured, orphaned, and unreleasable macropods. We are dedicated to giving these animals a safe, compassionate, and nurturing environment throughout their lives. We specialise exclusively in macropod care, ensuring each animal receives expert, evidence-based veterinary treatment and nutrition. Our sanctuary provides a loving compound setting where macropods can live with dignity and security. In addition to our sanctuary work, we operate a 24/7 Emergency Wildlife Rescue Hotline for other native wildlife. Through this service, we provide emergency assistance and collaborate with licensed carers and veterinarians to facilitate successful release back into the wild wherever possible. Our vision is a South Australia where native wildlife is protected, habitats are restored, and community conservation is a shared responsibility and enduring legacy. We actively foster public understanding, community engagement, and environmental conservation as central pillars of our work.
