Perth Zoo Docent Association

The Perth Zoo Docent Association (PZDA), operates independently but works closely with, and is integral to the functioning of Perth Zoo. PZDA is entirely volunteer run and was founded in 1982 by a dedicated group of volunteers known as Docents, a word derived from the Latin word docere meaning “to teach”. Docents are individuals passionate about, wildlife, conservation of animals and providing quality customer service. They come from all ages and backgrounds.
