The Women's Shelter Armidale
Women’s Shelter Armidale has been supporting women and children since 1977, when two local women met in a sheep paddock and asked how they could keep families safe. We are now the second-oldest women’s refuge in New South Wales, providing crisis accommodation, transitional housing, health and wellbeing services, and youth programs across the New England region. Our team delivers more than 3,000 nights of safe accommodation each year, over 400 meals each week through our Hub and Meals Program, and vital support through our Trackside Youth Hub and community health clinic. We are committed to creating safe spaces where women, young people, and families can heal, rebuild, and connect.
