GulagbiColaborative Sustainable Developments

Gulagagbi means “everyone working together to achieve something” in the Argo language of Papua New Guinea. What began with one woman and her family supporting mothers and families in need has grown into a registered charity working across Far North Queensland, Papua New Guinea, and beyond. Our core focus is supporting mothers, babies, and families—strengthening care, education, and community-led support to improve outcomes and reduce preventable trauma. We work alongside communities to: Support maternal, infant, and community health through pre- and postnatal support, health education, and strengthening safe birth knowledge and skills Improve living conditions through practical, community-led solutions in sanitation, hygiene, shelter, and economic opportunities Deliver sustainable systems such as clean drinking water (especially in PNG), food production, water reuse, and regenerative agriculture At Gulagbi, we believe that when families are supported with knowledge, resources, and sustainable opportunities, whole communities thrive. Volunteers are at the heart of helping us grow this vision.
