Community Information & Support Victoria

Community Information & Support Victoria (CISVic) is the peak body for a network of trusted, local community agencies supporting Victorians facing hardship. Our members are embedded in communities across the state, providing front-line support including emergency relief, financial counselling, and information services. Last year alone, they delivered over 700,000 episodes of assistance—offering help when and where it’s needed most. CISVic connects people in crisis with local support, and ensures those services are backed by strong, coordinated policy and funding. We: - Represent the sector to local, state and federal governments—advocating for sustainable funding and smarter systems - Deliver training, research and sector development to build the capacity of our members - Strengthen partnerships between volunteers, philanthropy and community services to maximise impact. We believe that no one should face hardship alone—and that policy change starts with listening to the communities most affected.
