The Music Broadcasting Society of South Australia-Radio 5MBS

We are a community Radio Station that plays Classical, Jazz, Blues and World music and broadcast music for 24 hours a day everyday of the year. We belong to the Community Broadcasting Association of Australia (CBAA). We are governed by a Board and employ a Manager. However, everything else its takes to present the on air music is done by volunteers. This involves presenters, technical people, recording specialists, music librarians, accountant and bookkeepers, administrators, receptionists. Our financial support comes from members who join our station, sponsorship and donations. We hold some events which also bring in revenue.
