Coromandel Community Centre

Coromandel Community Centre is located in the Weymouth Precinct offering placemaking opportunities through regular hire of the facilities. A non-profit organisation, Coromandel Community Centre Inc., is run by a Board of Management (BOM) comprised of interested volunteers from the local community. The Board meets regularly to plan and make decisions concerning Centre strategic direction and governance. The Community Development Officer (CDO) and Community Development Support Officer (CDSO) develop, design and manage programs and events within financial guidelines to reflect and respond to the needs and interests of our local community, carry out internal and external community engagement events and manage volunteers. Day-to-day office procedures, general liaison with Centre participants, and some general tidiness in and around the Centre, are carried out by volunteers from the local community under guidance from the CDO and CDSO.
