Caloundra Community Centre is an incorporated community-based organisation managed by a volunteer Committee of Management. The organisation provides diverse developmental programs and service delivery to the residents of Caloundra and other areas of the Sunshine Coast. The organisation receives recurrent funding from the Queensland Government under the “Neighbourhood Centre” program. Specific projects are financially resourced through a range of other sources including Federal Government, Sunshine Coast Council, local businesses and philanthropic funding.
Caloundra Community Centre encourages community members to become involved in the delivery of a range of programs and activities for the benefit of individuals and the community. We recruit, train, and support volunteers for some specific roles such as Pets for Life. However, we foster the notion of “active citizens” to categorise those people who lead groups, assist with organising events, running activities etc.
