The Northern Territory Emergency Service provides a response capability for emergency events through its vast network of volunteers. The response may be on an individual basis or in support of the other sections of the Tri-Services; Police or the Fires and Rescue Service. In addition, NTES has a responsibility for facilitating emergency planning and education within the Territory in cooperation with the NT and local governments as well as community groups.
