Logo for Rosebud West Community Hub Ltd

Rosebud West Community Hub Ltd is an independent registered charity operating within the Neighbourhood House sector. Reflecting our location and to better meet the needs of our community, we have recently rebranded to 'Capel Sound Community Hub'. We are governed by a volunteer Board, managed by a small team of paid staff and supported by a dedicated group of volunteers. This community-driven model allows us to deliver inclusive programs, activities, and vital support services. What is our purpose? Neighbourhood Houses act as local hubs designed to bring people together, offering a welcoming space for people of all ages and backgrounds to connect, learn and contribute. Our core purpose 'Powering Social Connection' sums up our work to combat social isolation, enhance personal well-being and build a stronger, more inclusive community. The Hub is a vibrant and important community resource. In 2025, over 3000 people participated in 40 community-based regular programs, social supports and educational opportunities. In addition, within the Hub is Seawinds Early Learning Centre catering for 90 families with long day care and 3 and 4 yo Kindergarten, and a Community Café alongside the Rosebud Men's Shed. What is our Impact? Our budget is $1,433,800. In 2024, the social return on this investment is valued at $2,725,062. We are largely self-funded, with income from program/participant fees, room hire, grants, donations and some government funding and the generous support of our community.
