Logo for Mid North Coast Local Health District - Palliative & End of Life Care Services

The Mid North Coast Local Health District Palliative Care Service supports people of all ages who are living with a life-limiting illness. Palliative care focuses on improving quality of life by helping people live as comfortably and fully as possible. Care is tailored to the individual needs, wishes, values, and goals of each client and their family. Our Volunteers are a valued part of our palliative care team. While volunteers do not provide clinical care, they offer companionship, social connection, practical support, and a caring presence that can make a meaningful difference to clients and families. Whether sharing a conversation, providing a listening ear, supporting a carer, or simply being present, volunteers help reduce isolation and enhance the wellbeing of those receiving palliative care. Through kindness, respect, and compassion, volunteers contribute to the comfort, dignity, and quality of life of clients and their loved ones across our communities.
