Open Doors Youth Service (ODYS) was created by community for community 25 years ago and remains Queensland’s only dedicated LGBTIQ+ Sistergirl & Brotherboy (LGBTQIASB+) youth service. ODYS supports LGBTQIASB+ young people aged 12 to 24 and is dedicated to:
Empowering LGBTQIASB+ young people to live with pride as valued, celebrated, and authentic members of community
Engaging a workforce with lived experience and professional expertise
Providing safe spaces for young people to connect with peers and community to foster a sense of belonging
Advocating for the rights and needs of our young people to improve their access to resources, and to end discrimination and violence
Improving mental health outcomes and lowering suicidality for LGBTQIASB+ young people
