Baptist World Aid Australia is a not-for-profit Christian organisation, committed to empowering the world’s poor to lift themselves out of poverty. For over 50 years we have been serving poor communities through partnering with overseas agencies for international aid and development work. Baptist World Aid Australia recognises that people living in poverty are trapped because they lack access to adequate resources and opportunities. Our work is designed to address this – equipping poor families and their communities to tackle to root causes of poverty affecting them and enjoy the life of well-being that God intends for them. Over 16,000 Australians support our work, in 16 countries across Asia, Africa and the Pacific. Baptist World Aid Australia is a member of the Transform Aid International Group, an affiliated Agency of Australian Baptist Ministries. Transform Aid International is a fully accredited member of the Australian Council For International Development (ACFID), which is the peak Council for Australian not-for-profit aid and development organisations.
