Logo for Gould League

Gould League is an iconic, Australian, not-for-profit environmental education organisation operating since 1909! We empower teachers, students and the community to live more sustainably and protect the environment. Gould League delivers fun, exciting and authentic learning programs to students of all ages. We offer excursions at our Sustainability Education Centre in Cheltenham, Toolangi State Forest and Ricketts Point Marine Sanctuary in Beaumaris. We also deliver Teacher PDs and community information sessions. Here at Gould League, we truly value the time and dedication our volunteers give to strengthen our organisation towards our commitment to connecting people to nature. The roles we offer are open to people aged above 18 years old who have experience specified as per the role advertised. Our roles are suited to tertiary students, retirees, people returning to the workplace or people on a career break. We offer on-the-job training and ongoing support to ensure our volunteers feel valued and welcome. Additionally, we invite our volunteers to participate in many of our PDs and events we hold throughout the year to offer them learning opportunities, strengthen their connection to the Gould League, and give them a deeper understanding of the value of their role. If the role is based at our Cheltenham site we have a dedicated workspace, and tearoom, for our volunteers and staff. We know and respect that our volunteers are from all walks of life with various demands on their time so we are open to discussing how our roles can fit in with you. Ultimately if you are passionate about sustainability and helping connect the community to the environment and see a role listed that you feel can help, we would love to hear from you!
