The Royal Hobart Hospital (RHH) is Australia's second oldest hospital and first began serving the Hobart community in 1804 and moved to its present site in the Hobart CBD in 1820. The Royal Hobart Hospital is Tasmania’s largest hospital and the major referral centre. We provide acute, sub-acute, mental health, and aged care inpatient and ambulatory services. We support over 250,000 Tasmanians in the southern region. We are a major clinical teaching and research site for The University of Tasmania and other institutions. We employ over 3,000 people from a diverse range of backgrounds and cultures. Our Volunteers play a vital role throughout the RHH supporting our patients, families, visitors, and staff. RHH Volunteers can be found in the following locations (just to name a few): - Inpatient wards - The Emergency Department - Outpatient Clinics - Holman Clinic - Public entry points to the hospital
