Maroondah Community Assist has been serving the Ringwood and Croydon communities since 1967. It started as a telephone service answering queries from local residents of Maroondah needing direction with everyday problems from barking dogs to financial problems. Today, Maroondah Community Assist continues to meet the needs of the community through providing confidential, free, independent and impartial information, as well as emergency relief in the form of food and material aid. Maroondah Community Assist is a member of Community Information & Support Victoria (CISVic). Maroondah Community Assist is a not-for-profit agency, which receives administrative funding by the Maroondah City Council and generous donations from local religious based organisations and private citizens.
