Fishcare Victoria, a non-profit organization established in 1995, is dedicated to sustainable fishing education and fostering community stewardship of waterways. We invite fishing enthusiasts who share our mission to join our team of talented and skilled volunteer. With more than 250 school, FishAbility and community events annually, we need motivated individuals to help organize fun fishing activities and promote environmental stewardship for our aquatic environments. Training and mentoring are provided, turning fishing into a volunteering opportunity. We have an incredible community of diverse volunteers across the state that not only give so much but reap huge benefits of volunteering with us. Are you looking to develop skills for the workplace? Build social connections? Learn about the not-for-profit sector? Develop a sense of community? Give back to a recreation that has given you so much? Or just see people catch their first fish? Well, you might want to consider volunteering with us. We operate across five regions in Victoria: • Southwest (Warrnambool) • Geelong & Bellarine, Melbourne • Mornington & Western Port • East Gippsland (Lake Entrance) • Central Highlands (Ballarat) If this sounds like something you are interested in or know of someone that is, you can find more information on our website, www.fishcare.org.au or contact [email protected] for more information.
