Are you keen to help conserve the local environment and have some spare time? The City of Busselton is responsible for managing numerous reserves with significant conservation values. The City works closely with volunteer community groups and recognises the enormous effort volunteers provide to the natural environment. There are many active environment groups working with the City of Busselton on reserve management. Works are guided by management plans and include activities such as revegetation, weed control, signage, seed collection, monitoring vegetation, dieback management, fauna management and public education. It’s a great way to meet like-minded people to work together to actively conserve the environment. Support is provided by the City of Busselton with technical advice, project funding, training and provision of insurance for volunteers.
