Grants and Research Writer

Volunteering Sunshine Coast (VSC) seeks grant writers with prior experience in researching websites and other opportunities for grants, writing grant applications, and compiling progress reports for submission to funding bodies. VSC is a not-for-profit founded in 2003, with a primary focus of supporting and strengthening the not-for-profit (NFP) sector through volunteerism. VSC supports the Sunshine Coast community in sourcing volunteers and places over 3,000 volunteers every year. As a not-for-profit, securing grant income for projects and programs, as well as for operational needs, is vital.
The Grants and Research Writer will identify and research grant opportunities that may meet the needs of VSC, through various portals such as SmartyGrants and GrantConnect. It is essential that the applicant can identify the priorities and key criteria of grant programs and articulate how VSC can meet the funding program objectives.
Preferable qualifications: an academic qualification (e.g. a Bachelor degree or certification with professional writing as a major) or other relevant qualification, and/or relevant experience.
This role can be undertaken in the VSC office in Maroochydore, from home, or a combination of both.
