About the Program Aldinga Community Centre is a vibrant centre that offers a range of services, activities and programs for Aldinga and surrounding suburbs. The Centre is mainly staffed by volunteers and works towards building and strengthening the community. Our Community Garden is a beautiful space where community members can learn and join in various organic gardening activities. It is maintained by a dedicated group to ensure it is attractive and yields produce for use in the Centre and is available to the wider community. Key Tasks
- General planting and maintenance of the Community Garden including seed raising, weeding, pruning and watering.
- Working in a team to plan projects for the future.
Skills/Knowledge/Personal Qualities
- Good communication skills.
- An interest or willingness to share knowledge about gardening methods and practices.
- To be physically able to fulfil the role.
Special Requirements
- The successful applicant must possess and provide a Department of Human Services (DHS) ‘not prohibited’ Working with Children Check prior to commencement.
- The successful applicant must be prepared to undertake Child Safe Environment training
Time Commitment Any of the following:
- Mondays 8.30am–1.30pm
- Wednesdays 8.30am–1.30pm
- Fridays 8.30am–1.30pm
