Green Deck Gardener / Coordinator

The Boroondara Volunteer Resource Centre is advertising this role on behalf of Ashburton Community Centre.
Do you have an interest in gardening, particularly with growing herbs and produce? This local Community Centre is looking for a gardener for it's Green Deck.
Tasks and Responsibilities:
- Plant, maintain and harvest our Green Deck garden
- Bundle green deck harvest for fundraising
- Collect and pack coffee grounds from local café
- Pack seeds and label for seed swap
- Plant and raise seedlings for fundraising activities
- Maintain promotional material displays for the Green Deck
- General tasks upon negotiation
- Option to run kids activities in conjunction with other events
Skills and Experience:
- Interest and knowledge of growing herbs and produce/vegetable gardening
- Warm friendly manner - happy to talk to people
- A "can do" approach
