Port Elliot Railway Station are looking for Customer Service Volunteers to help out in their award winning historic railway station.

The Customer Service role has two components - Ticket Sales and Souvenir Sales. Previous sales and customer service, cash register and EFTPOS terminal experience would be well regarded, but not essential. On the job training will be provided.

Ticket Sales include, liaising with customers to establish the journey they wish to take, receiving payment and issuing tickets. Keeping records of the day's trading and finalising data for the end of day banking.

Souvenir Sales encompasses souvenir displays, assisting customers with their purchases, taking payments, recording sales and reconciling each day's trading.

Some of the common duties for both roles will include responding to queries and offering information to visitors in a friendly and helpful manner. Following opening and closing procedures and ensuring that the office/shop is always clean and well presented.
