Café Volunteer

Helping Hand Aged Care, Ingle Farm is seeking a volunteer to assist in the Café who can serve food, make coffee, prepare meals, use a POS system and is willing to share their time, friendliness to connect with residents.

Key Responsibilities / Duties & Personal Attributes

• Provide excellent customer service
• General tasks: food preparation & handling, barista operations, table waiting, clearing tables and dishwashing
• Cash handling skills - use of cash register and EFTPOS
• Prior experience preferable but not essential
• Physically able to complete the tasks required
• Must have good personal presentation & hygiene
• Good communication skills
• Able to maintain privacy and confidentiality
• Must have clear communication skills
• A fun and outgoing personality

Attend any mandatory training sessions as required Have or be willing to obtain a National Police Check Abide by all policies and procedures and OH&S protocol Must wear enclosed footwear and appropriate clothing

Volunteers must be punctual and reliable, have a friendly positive attitude towards other team members and enjoy working with the elderly, frail and cognitively impaired.
