Clothing, Confidence and Connection: Join the Thread Together Team

As a Thread Together Volunteer, you will help create a welcoming and dignified experience for people accessing free, brand-new clothing through the program. Working alongside a friendly team, you will support individuals and families experiencing hardship by helping them access clothing that meets their needs, while fostering confidence, connection and a sense of belonging.
In this role, you may:
- Welcome and assist people accessing the service in a friendly, respectful and non-judgemental manner
- Help create a safe, supportive and inclusive environment
- Prepare and display new clothing within the Thread Together Hub
- Assist people to select clothing that meets their needs
- Work collaboratively with community agencies and referral partners
- Help maintain a clean, tidy and welcoming space
- Follow organisational policies, procedures, training requirements and health and safety practices
- Respect the privacy and confidentiality of all people accessing the service
We need to have reasonable confidence that members, volunteers and employees, particularly those who have access to vulnerable persons we are assisting, are of suitable character and do not expose these persons to unacceptable risk. Therefore, volunteers may be required to have a WWVP Card. If you don't have one, we will help you apply for it. Please note that we handle all personal information in accordance with the Privacy Act 1998.
