Gardening Assistant - Townsville

This position involves watering gardens by hand and assisting the Gardener with other odd jobs around the grounds at Villa Vincent.
We are looking for someone with the ability to engage in conversations with our elderly residents and follow instructions and procedures regarding working in the gardens.
The suitable volunteer should be: personable, sociable, caring, a good listener and communicator, and reasonably fit and energetic.
You will gain the satisfaction of providing a service in a busy care facility and gaining some new skills. A reference can be provided if required.
This position would suit a MATR 55+ Centrelink recipients or retirees.
Applicants for this position are also required:
- to be computer literate
- be prepared to do ongoing (annual) mandatory training modules
- have access to a computer (phone and tablets are not suitable devices for completing modules)
- be fit and active
- have documented evidence of receiving a current Influenza and Coronavirus vaccination
