Social Group Assistant

As a Social Group Assistant, you will play a crucial role in supporting the Group Facilitator in planning, preparing, and executing activities for children and adults with autism. You will collaborate with the Group Facilitator to ensure the smooth implementation of programs, adhering to our organisation's policies and procedures. Additionally, you will assist with the preparation of meals and snacks, promoting healthy eating habits and independence for our participants. Your role will also involve encouraging and facilitating participant engagement and interaction, helping to build relationships and a sense of community among group members. Furthermore, you will be responsible for recording and maintaining accurate documentation of participant goals, weekly observations, and case notes for three participants throughout the term.

You will also be required to maintain confidentiality and adhere to our organisation's policies and procedures.
