Volunteer Opportunity – Aged Care Volunteer Visitors Scheme (ACVVS)
Are you someone who enjoys a good chat and would love to brighten someone’s day?
The Aged Care Volunteer Visitors Scheme (ACVVS) connects volunteers with people who are socially isolated and would benefit from friendship and companionship. A simple visit and friendly conversation can make a world of difference.
We are currently looking for a volunteer to visit a female living in her own home in Rockhampton. The recipient is an Ex Nurse and has a speech impairment. She is interested in the country, gardening and animals. She is very lonely. If you are interested in visiting, we would love to hear from you.
What’s involved? Visits can be as little as one hour per fortnight Days and times are flexible to suit both you and the resident No prior experience needed – just a warm heart and a listening ear
