RMHC WA are the hosts of a beautiful play and recreational space on level 4 at Perth Children's Hospital. We require 50+ volunteers to help us bring an array of programs to life in this space.

Our Activity Agents will be responsible for the 'play' side in this fun and welcoming environment. You can expect to be involved with arts and crafts, movie room, story time, games room and general supervision of the children and young guests. You may also assist with welcoming visitors, orientations, parent enquiries and admin tasks.

It is an extremely exciting opportunity and we look forward to extending our care and joy to more children and their families.

Commitment

Regular - more than 6 months

Training

Comprehensive orientation will be provided prior to commencing plus 3 buddy shifts in our existing RMHC WA spaces. Thorough on the job training will also be provided.

Time required

Monday - Friday shift times are 8:15am - 11:30am, 11:30am - 2:30pm and 2:30pm - 4:45pm. Weekend shifts operate 9:45am - 1pm and 1pm - 4:15pm. We ask for a minimum commitment of one shift per fortnight.

Reimbursement

RMHC WA volunteers can access the QEII multi-deck car park whilst on shift - RMHC WA covers this expense.

Requirements

Volunteers will be required to have a current WWCC and new police certificate completed by RMHC WA. We also have a variety of mandatory data compliance and online training. Volunteers within this space will need to have up to date vaccinations - RMHC WA will provide further info on these requirements. We are committed to keeping children and young people safe in our spaces and do not tolerate any kind of abuse. We implement prevention strategies to reduce the risk of abuse and actively seek to listen, empower, and protect children. Our team, including employees and volunteers, must meet high standards to ensure they prevent and report abuse. All roles are subject to compliance and reference checks and are subject to relevant state/territory legislation.
