Alley Katz Australia Org. operates throughout Victoria and NSW

To be successful in rehoming of unwanted, unowned colony, street cats which can make a world of difference to the human soul, we are trying to establish a broad network of foster carers who can provide love and affection, accommodation, food and grooming to immune compromised cats for an agreed amount of time. Your input will make the cat more likely to be adopted, which is the outcome we are looking for. Immune compromised cats can lead long lives with suitable support which is usually gradual.

Of course, you may want to keep the fostered cat; in that case we can come to a favourable arrangement.

During the foster care agreement period, for any particular fostered cat, Alley Katz Australia will pay for the cat's veterinary care through its network of participating veterinary practitioners. You would be responsible for feeding, grooming, accommodation and natural affection for the term of the foster care agreement.

Suggest your location for consideration, if your location is not listed.

It is common for some rescues to be diagnosed with FIV, which can be transmitted to un-vaccinated healthy cats through deep bites. If you have cats not vaccinated against FIV , and they are not FIV positive, we recommend vaccination subject to veterinary guidance. Cat's with FIV should be kept inside for the foster care period.
