The Rockingham Museum is a community museum which is managed by the Rockingham District Historical Society Inc.

It is committed to the collection, preservation, documentation and interpretation of the heritage of Western Australia in General, with the emphasis on the history of Rockingham District, for future education and enjoyment of the wider community.

The Museum is housed in an Art Deco building, the former Rockingham Road Board Building built in 1946/47.

It was extended in 1988 to join the library building which became part of the museum building in 1999.

There are numerous displays throughout the museum depicting a variety of aspects of our history.
