Volunteers will support participants with intellectual and physical disabilities.
You will support participants and staff with a range of activities throughout the day including: arts and crafts, carpentry, swimming, literacy, computer skills, sports, gym, exercising, dancing , basketball, yoga, walking, theatre group, choir, money skills, using public transport, gardening cooking, barbeques, bowling, fishing and mentoring and many others.
This involves: • Welcoming participants • Encouraging them • Including them • Helping participants to build confidence • Observing their well-being and safety • Following the example and direction of supervising staff • Entering enthusiastically into the day’s activities • Reporting any questions or concerns to staff
You will be directed by The Bridge staff as needed.
This is a regular weekly week day role.
